To get me through this day...

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain...
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call...
He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light...
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love...

Growing so fast

When I look at my growing children, I wonder how time can be so unfair.
Isabella jumped on this mini bike with training wheels and pretty much taught herself to ride it within a matter of about an hour. She joined right in with her big brothers. Of course, she was singing all the way and they were jumping ramps.
Cheyanne was just too cute not to take a picture of. She is so happy and content in the water. HHHMMM....is there a way to keep her safely in water the entire day? I will have to look into that one.

The other woman

Pretty cute, isn't she? And the adorable face of a man who is loving being loved by his beautiful baby girl.

Am I dreaming???

Yes, I am dreaming because Cheyanne has slept through the night for 3 days straight!!!!! She is crawling and sleeping and happy. She is still cutting teeth, so has had her fussy moments, but she is just growing up by leaps and bounds right now. God's timing is so sovereign. I included a picture of her in the stroller that we bought for Dante to push Isabella in. It is a super stroller that I got at a super discounted price. The boys were taking turns pushing her up and down the street in it last night.

Confessions of a disappointed mama

I will try to keep it short. I know these posts are such a drain. In the past 4 days my sweet 10 year old baby has asked what a hooker is, cussed after dinner, been openly disrespectful and secretly disobedient, and given me the absolute hardest time for the one hour that we are actually doing school. WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I feel much better. Please pray that I am an example of grace and forgiveness.
Love,
Amy

Bottle Blues

In an attempt to wean Cheyanne just a little, I have resorted to the bottle. Although it is not her favorite, she seems to be taking to it more than a sippy cup.

Winter wonderland

Just wanted to post some photos of the beautiful snow we woke up to this morning. We measured 8-1/2 inches on top of the van even after I had cleared it a bit last night to go to Food Lion. This is the most snow we have seen since arriving in VA 5 years ago. Because Elijah is not feeling well, Dante is begging Rich and I to go out and have a snowball fight with him. Rich is usually pretty good about heading out in the white stuff for a bit each year.

Ready for the snow

The best way to end a Sunday evening? A phone call from the school that Rich does not have to work tomorrow. We will be having a SNOW DAY. The kids have been waiting for a real snow all winter and they sure are getting it. It has been coming down quite steadily for the past 4 to 5 hours. Although I am not a big fan of snow, it is nice to see everything pretty and white for a day or two.

Reverse only?

Cheyanne was rolling around on the kitchen floor for awhile this evening while I was getting dinner ready. She was scooting backwards from one place to another in order to get whatever it was that was catching her eye at the moment. For the past month or so, she will only motor backwards. I have been calling her a little crab. Tonight, I looked down just at the moment where she did a wormy like motion, but forward...yay, for Chey. She also slept from 7:00pm-3:30am in Justus's room last night. She woke to nurse and then was put back in Justus's room and slept until 7:30 this morning...yay, for Chey, again. I have been able to slow her nursing to about 4 times a day, which is huge for her. She is drinking water from a bottle, so that is helping. I know she will be such a big girl before I know it. She has had a big weekend!
