We welcome the sweetest.

Baby boy Richard Ferguson IV was born on March 21 around 11 in the morning. So sweet and lovely, he is. Our poco leoni (little lion) is the first baby boy born at home. I am so thankful for the blessings of beautiful homebirths overseen by the Creator of all things. God is so gracious to me and I am humbled. Will work at recording my birth story, right after I finish Jasmine's. ;O)

CHEEEEESE!

How does it happen? One minute, she is completely dependant. The next minute, she is climbing up on a trunk and proudly shouting out, "Cheeeeeese!" Look at me, mama. I am going to grow faster than you could have ever imagined.

Happy Birthday, Jasmine Marianna!!

What a year full of goodness. Jasmine Marianna is a true joy. Yes, she is a little firecracker and I am thankful for her sparkle. I look forward to see how God will use her to refine me. I love the challenge that all of my daughters have brought into my life. I shudder to think of the woman I would be if not for the 4 lovelies God has graciously placed in my arms. So much beauty, so little time. We absolutely adore you, Little Miss Mina. You are awesome and force us to stay on our toes and that makes us better people. Thank you for being part of our family.

Fun in the Staunton River

One of our favorite places to visit is English Park in Alta Vista. It is wonderful to be able to hit the library, the Farm Store, Walmart, dinner, and then cool off with a dip in the beautiful river. We were only able to stay for about 15 minutes, because Dante was not feeling well, but it was still nice. I am so bummed that the one picture I had of Dante sitting so quietly (yup, I said quietly) was somehow deleted. :O(

Holy Demolition, Batman!

The next big project on the list is a getting the living room carpet out and replacing it with something a bit more kid friendly. Somehow light tan carpet, 7 children, and chicken poo just don't go together. But, before we even think about the floor there is the issue of the big ugly fireplace. Rich decided today was the day to tear it down and begin pondering what in the world to do with it. Take a look at this mama-jama of a project we have on our hands. I am already bubbling over with ideas. I just love the Better Homes and Gardens web page of ideas. I will try and remember to post pictures of the finished project when it is done.
